Debt Recovery Attorney
CM Legal
A multi-state law firm specializing in debt recovery litigation is seeking a motivated Attorney to represent the firm in civil collection matters. This is a base-plus-commission opportunity: in addition to a competitive base salary, attorneys earn commissions on attorney-negotiated settlements, and the role comes with no billable hour requirements.
The Attorney will review and approve collection claims placed with the firm, represent clients in civil collection matters within the state, and approve and execute pleadings to keep cases moving efficiently. The role also involves maintaining regular contact with courts, opposing counsel, and consumers, managing the docket from trial preparation through post-judgment enforcement, and assisting in the management and supervision of cases.
Candidates should be currently licensed and in good standing, with a thorough understanding of Texas or Virginia civil practice law. The firm is looking for someone with strong communication and organizational skills, a disciplined work ethic, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Beyond the base-plus-commission structure, the firm offers a 401(k) match at 50%, subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid life and disability benefits, and a robust Employee Assistance Plan.
The estimated salary range is between $70,000 – $150,000.
