A law firm is seeking an IP Patent Docketing Quality Review Specialist for its Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, or Boston office. This role supports the accuracy and integrity of the firm’s patent docketing database by reviewing work completed by IP Patent Docketing Specialists, ensuring entries are complete, accurate, and aligned with departmental standards, and providing corrections and guidance as needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing US and foreign patent docket updates for compliance with country law and client guidelines, conducting internal audits of client portfolios, and partnering with the docketing manager and coordinator to keep system information accurate. The role also involves training docketing staff, maintaining training materials, preparing system reports and custom queries, distributing final docket reports to meet deadlines, and assisting with reconciliation of audit reports and special projects.

Candidates should have prior law firm experience, a minimum of seven years of patent docketing experience with a computerized docketing system (CPI and/or Patricia experience preferred), and at least one year of docketing quality review experience. Strong analytical, proofreading, and communication skills are required, along with flexibility for overtime. This is an hourly, non-exempt position offering a base salary range of $81,000 to $112,000 per year.
